Apologies to one and all. You will have noted by now that the University of Calgary's access to SciFinder Scholar has been greatly curtailed, only one simultaneous login at this time is permitted instead of the usual 5 simltaneous logins. The SciFinder Scholar download for PC users has also been removed.
Our difficulties began when we requested a training licence for SciFinder Scholar earlier this term. While the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) was able to extend a training licence to us, the process unfortunately interfered with our normal licence.
Librarians and library staff are working with CAS to restore our simultaneous access to SciFinder Scholar as well as our download access. In the meantime, if you get a message stating that there are "Too many concurrent sessions for this login ID", please try again later. If you need to download a copy of SciFinder to your desktop, please contact Claudette Cloutier (ccloutie@ucalgary.ca).
